Lorraine has been Vice President of Finance for the last two years as well as our ARC delegate. She got her degree in accounting at Nazareth  College in Rochester, NY and began her career in an entry-level position for a telecommunications company. Four years later she was transferred to southern CA. Gaining promotions based on her excellent performance and eventually switching companies Lorraine became Assistant Comptroller at Powerwave Technologies. During that time, Lorraine also became a mother to two terrific sons. In 2004, Lorraine and her family moved Verrado in Buckeye, Arizona. Then she, and her ex-husband, started a new career and business called Westside Blinds and Shutters.
A year later, we were blessed to have her join ABWA. Lorraine has spent countless hours successfully completing the 501 C (6) form which is an Application for Recognition of Exemption. She has sponsored six new members and has brought countless guests to our luncheons as candidates for membership. She is the first friendly face you see when you walk into our luncheons, and her smile brightens everyone’s day. She has also been very involved with the Phoenix Rescue Mission and Palm Valley Church.
Lorraine is a shining example of the spirit of ABWA and wholeheartedly deserves to be our 2009 Woman of the Year.
